Hello:) My name is DeNae Baggett, I’m from Goodlettsville, TN, right outside of Nashville. This is my home town. I am 19, and not currently in college. I have moved around a bit, we lived in Florida once for a couple years, where my dad was a Pastor, and we lived in Alabama once for 9 months, where my dad was the Director of Selma Teen Challenge. Before we moved to Al, I had been pretty caught up in my church life, I think moving broke me apart from something there that I didn’t need. Now I live in Goodlettsville, once again, we live on 40 acres of land that my Papaw owns, we live in the upper part of his house.
We go to a church called Living To Go Life Center, my uncle is now the Pastor, my Papaw is the senior. It is not very missions oriented like it used to be..I have not had a chance to go on a missions trip, though I have always wanted to.
Here is some stuff about me:
I am a writer, though I am not the best at English. I want to publish a Novel soon.
Kids are the bomb, even though sometimes I feel like going crazy around them I can keep my cool.
I am an outdoors/tomboy/geeky dork…and my friends remind me everyday…ha-ha.
Dr. Pepper is the best.
I want to be a missionary, I’m not sure where, but not one definite place for sure, I hope to go everywhere.
I like animals, Monkeys and Racoons are the coolest.
I was homeschooled.
My hobbies are many, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, writing, reading, hanging out with my family, making things, biking, swimming, snipe hunting (about the only kind of hunting I will do unless I had to for some reason), and just about anything fun…anything out of ordinary is best. :)
J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite Author…along with a loonngg list of others.
When I read a fantasy book, particularly the Hobbit, I wish I could live there.
And…I’m saving for a jeep, they are awesome.
Missions is something that has always been on my heart, I have a lot of missionary friends. Not many people seem to understand me when I say what I want to be, so I’m psyched to get to go to Peru with people like me! I know that this is going to be hard for me, I knew that it would be when I decided to go, but I believe it is what God is telling me to do.
I am also nervous, yet excited to go, and to meet all of you, can’t wait!
